Magnitude of Guilt

A man spoke about fire

To douse his

Wet teary cheeks

His friends burned

With fear drowning

In the rolling waves

Of misery avalanching

Down through the

Lives of loveless

Worthless jobless

Homeless wanless

Plebeian voices

His close loved

His fire will

Burn down

Their false wall

Their structures

Their money defences

His fire will

Measure their

Fear and their

Commitment to love

Who they love

What they love

Why they love

The fire will be

Even heated

Giving all hot money

A lick and kick

In the close inner

Testing base

Honeyed skull trap

He wants to hear

Their scream

But they will laugh

Not in a superior way

But in the fragile

Way a child

Is fond of

The way of

Innocent ignorance

We are all

Forgiven

They do not

Know what they

Are doing
