Reading with Ants

If an ant could read

Would it read this

Time spent reading

Is downtime to an ant

Downtime to an ant

Is precious not as time

In my view ants

Do not think time

Time is not their

Problem because they

Make the path they

Need to find food

There is no scarcity

There is only food

In a place or in another

Place that they find

Reading is too slow

So, they send biochemical

Songs and phrases

To encourage sharing

They die together

If one dies they

Bring them back home

To eat them not to

Waste their existence

Nor to spend time

Looking at them

They have been here

Many moons and sun

Cycles moving and

Collecting and producing

“Our purpose is our being

Our being is our pleasure

In balance with the

Environment we exist within”

Those eejits are still here

But seem to be at peak

Madness after only being

Here a wee while
